We believe that truly affecting change in the lives of at risk children and young people requires strengthening struggling families and building community while empowering them to succeed. Through our before/after school and Summer Camp programs we aim to support the educational growth of children and young people.
We combine educational activities with sports, arts, crafts and an opportunity to learn about God in ‘power hour’. We also run a teen leadership-mentoring program. We provide training in four key skill areas; leadership, teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills. Alongside this training we provide valuable work experience both at summer camp and the outreach program. With your support, we will give poor children a fighting chance.
Every Tuesday the Urban Outreach Center provides a ministry to the homeless, those living in low-income households, and many struggling with addiction and mental health. We provide a hot meal and produce from the food bank. In the autumn and winter we distribute coats to the poor and blankets to the homeless. We partner with volunteers from local churches to provide a meal at Thanksgiving and Christmas, as well as toys for the children.
Iron Sharpens Iron, a mens group at Sanctuary of Hope, meets each Wednesday morning for breakfast and bible study to support men in the community. This unique program provides men the opportunity to give back and encourage those in need. Many in this group have overcome the same challenges as those they seek to serve.
The HOPE HOUSE offers men, from different walks of life, an opportunity to live together in an intentional and transformational community. We offer men recovering from chronic homelessness, addiction and mental health access to affordable housing.
The program provides a mentor and pastoral oversight to facilitate personal and spiritual growth in the men living at the HOPE HOUSE. We are committed to assisting those who desire to improve their lives to become contributing members of the community.
